October, 2009 - Marcos Santos Promoted to Black Belt 3rd Degree by IBJJF
Marcos Santos has been promoted to Black Belt 3rd Degree by the The International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). Marcos Santos is pictured with Grandmaster Francisco of the IBJJF who is one of only six men outside of the Gracie family to be granted a professor's diploma by Eternal Grand Master Helio Graicie himself.
The International Brazliian Jiu Jitsu Federation was created by Carlos Gracie, Jr., head of Gracie Barra and son of Carlos Gracie, the founder of the art. The IBJFF is the major governing body for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and hosts several of the biggest tournaments in the world, including the Mundials, Pan AMerican and European Championships.
